Mayor Fred Cleveland just scored a major win for New Smyrna Beach at the State Capitol, and it's got everyone talking about the future of our coastline and neighborhoods.
Representing us during Legislative Action Days in Tallahassee, he stood up for stormwater management reforms and fought against bills that could disrupt local control and funding. Fred met with our very own Representatives Chase Tramont and Bill Partington, as well as Senators Tom Leek and Tom Wright, to ensure our voices were heard.
For those of us who love this city and its vibrant nature, this means a more secure future for New Smyrna Beach. Protecting our charm from environmental threats and legislative changes is no small feat. Fred's commitment shows that locals caring for locals is our strongest asset.
